Buvoli, Director of the Mount Royal School of Art at MICA, is an artist working with animated film and video, installation, sculpture, painting and drawing. His solo shows include the John Weber Gallery, NYC (1995, ‘97, ‘99), the M.I.T. List Center, Cambridge (2000), the Philadelphia Museum of Art (2001), the Weatherspoon Art Museum in Greensboro, NC (2003), the ICA in Philadelphia (2007), and Gallery Hyundai in Seoul, Korea (2012). Group shows include the 2nd Johannesburg Biennale, South Africa, Greater New York at P.S. 1, and the Venice Biennale. His public commissions include a large suspended sculpture for the Hobby Airport, Houston, TX, and a large outdoor project was installed at the Deutsche Guggenheim Museum in Berlin in 2010. His works are in the collections of the MoMA, NYC, the Guggenheim Museum, and other institutions around the world.
Stephanie Barber is a writer and artist. She has recently finished her first feature length narrative video, DAREDEVILS, which will screen at the National Gallery of Art, Washington DC, and at The Anthology Film Archives, NYC, in the Autumn of 2014. Her films and videos have has been screened nationally and internationally in solo and group shows at MoMA, NYC, Tate Modern, London; Whitney Museum of American Art, NYC; Paris Cinematheque; Walker Art Center, MN; MOCA Los Angeles, Wexner Center for Art, OH. Barber’s essays, stories and poems are widely published in print and online. Her books these here separated to see how they standing alone and Night Moves are published by Publishing Genius Press in 2010 and 2013 respectively.
